American Football in Tokyo!

Japan just celebrated the 75th anniversary of American Football in Tokyo and we hope to make history in the next 75 years. The Setagaya International Warriors expands the roster of football teams to include English-speaking Elementary School Students on the Kanto Plains.

Our team welcomes all players of all nationalities. We use English in all of our practices and games so boys and girls (yes girls!) who are comfortable speaking English should feel right at home on our team. Our team practices are usually held on Sundays 8:30-12:30 and all of our coaches speak English.

We accept players in grades 4-6 (Japanese school year). No prior experience is required, but an interest in sports is really helpful. You must be willing to commit to attending practice on Sundays.

We play American style football, college rules, but two hand touch. We have found that two-hand touch reduces the chance of injury for our players who have a wide range of sizes at this age.
