American Football in Tokyo!

The Setagaya International Warriors brings American Football to the Kanto Plains. We are continually expanding our teams to encompass more and more players as we grow the game of football in Japan. Although Japan has had an extensive history of American Football at the Collegiate and Junior High School level, never before has the elementary school level seen this much activity! And that is all due to the Warriors. We bring football to the English-speaking Elementary School Students in the Tokyo Metropolitan area.

Our team welcomes all players of all nationalities. We use English in all of our practices and games so girls and boys (yes girls!) who are comfortable speaking English should feel right at home on our team. Our team practices are usually held on Sundays 8:30-12:30 and all of our coaches speak English.

We accept players in grades 4-8. No prior experience is required. Players who commit to attending practice on Sundays get the best chances to play, but all members of our team get a chance to participate in all of our events!

We play two-hand touch American style football using modified college rules. Two-hand touch reduces the chance of injury for our young players, while keeping all the excitement of the game intact.
